History
In 1955 the late President Chiang Kai-shek established
Military Welfare Enterprise Management Division in Combined
Service Forces. In 1964 it was renamed Military Welfare
Department and was then officially under the supervision of
Ministry of National Defense of R.O.C. In 1975 it expanded
its service to government employees and staffs of public
schools in addition to the welfare supplies in the military.
In 1981, it provided additional service to veterans and
their dependents. In 1989 its service to government
employees and staffs of public schools was cancelled as
ordered. Since then it has been in charge of the supply of
supplementary foods and products in the military. Now, there
are 39 supply stations for daily necessities .

Soldiers (including cadets in military academies),
civilians, reservists, veterans and their dependents.
Application
of Purchase Cards
1. Military officers and men (including cadets in the
military academies), and recruits can apply the purchase
card at your units or Recruits Training Center just with
your soldier's ID or unit service card at information desk
at any of the supply stations of Military Welfare
Department.
2. Reservists, veterans and dependents can apply it with
your veteran's ID or dependent's ID as well as the personal
ID.
Renewal of Purchase Cards
If your purchase card get stained or lost, please feel free
to apply a new card with your photo ID at your units or at
any of the supply stations of Military Welfare Department.
The supply stations are open all year round except Chinese
Lunar New Year when the service is suspended.
